As a fellowship trained Mohs Surgeon and Board Certified Dermatologist, Dr. Francis specializes in the treatment of skin cancer and aging skin. Her skills allow her to treat all forms of skin cancer, ensuring highest cure rates while maximizing cosmetic results.
Dr. Francis was raised in Colorado and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a bachelor's degree in biology. She then attended medical school at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society and graduated with distinction.
While at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Dr. Francis completed her dermatology residency and a research fellowship in immunodermatology funded by the National Institutes of Health. She also served as the chief resident, and authored numerous medical articles for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Archives of Dermatology, and the Journal of Investigative Dermatology. Dr. Francis then moved to Seattle to complete a competitive fellowship in procedural dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, Society for Investigative Dermatology and Women's Dermatologic Society. She presents research at several dermatology conferences and continues to author articles for medical journals.
Dr. Francis moved to Dallas to join Dr. Parker and Skin Cancer Consultants in a shared commitment to provide exceptional and compassionate care for their patients. Both physicians strive to serve their community by promoting skin health through prevention, intervention, and rejuvenation.
Dr. Francis is married with two children and a Labrador retriever. She and her family enjoy outdoor activities (always with abundant sun protection) and contributing to her community.
